P & I Correspondents

While a hull and machinery insurance provides insurance cover on a ship itself and the equipment onboard, Protection and Indemnity (P&I) is insurance against third party liabilities.

Close contacts are kept to the majority of hull and machinery underwriters and P&I clubs for whom we are acting as their average agents and local correspondents.

Thus a great number of average cases in the German Baltic and the Kiel-Canal area are handled by SARTORI & BERGER.
